Rainbow Butterflies It seems that I can't stay away from the sewing machine for long. So ... as soon as my daughter asked what she should take as a gift to a baptism I switched on the A/C and began sewing. I knew that I had no time to send it out for quilting so I decided that I would quilt it myself with a very simple diamond pattern. Half way through my "good" machine broke and I had to bring out the 'back up machine'.(Thank God I had it and thank you Maro for convincing me to get it!!!!!) The patchwork part of the quilt was a breeze but as soon as I started the quilting I began to worry a bit. The neck of the machine was so small and the quilt barely fit through. On two occasions I caught a fold and some unpicking was necessary. However all is well that ends well and now Berenice will have this happy quilt full of sunshine and rainbow butterflies. - Nonie

Being a quilt maker's sister, I have watched a lot of these quilts being created (from scratch to end). Murfy's law.... machines break when you most need them... but gifted paplomatou managed to get it done and Berenice will have a colourful quilt to keep her warm for life!
