It seems that I can't stay away from the sewing machine for long.
So ... as soon as my daughter asked what she should take as a gift to a baptism I switched on the A/C and began sewing.
I knew that I had no time to send it out for quilting so I decided that I would quilt it myself with a very simple diamond pattern.
Half way through my "good" machine broke and I had to bring out the 'back up machine'.(Thank God I had it and thank you Maro for convincing me to get it!!!!!)
The patchwork part of the quilt was a breeze but as soon as I started the quilting I began to worry a bit. The neck of the machine was so small and the quilt barely fit through. On two occasions I caught a fold and some unpicking was necessary.
However all is well that ends well and now Berenice will have this happy quilt full of sunshine and rainbow butterflies. - Nonie
